Rari River Wines

First Harvest & 
My Winemaking Adventure

At the end of the Summer of 2018, I was visiting my home in Rari and noticed the abundant and ripe grapes of my "parrón" (porch shade cover).

My neighbors originally planted 8 plants— a mix between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

The grapes were sweet and I wasn't planning to be back soon so it was time for harvest.

Our site manager Pedro helped with the first harvest and showed me a handy way to extract the grape juice using an old method that's been used for decades in the wine-harvesting in the Chilean countryside.
